Whether this is your first baby or the latest addition to your family, we understand that every baby is unique. As parents, this can be both wonderful and exciting, but also sometimes stressful.
As paediatric chiropractors, we pride ourselves on treating every mother and child uniquely and individually, to truly take the time to understand your pregnancy, labour and birth journey.
As a part of our 5 – step clinical process we will take the time to show you and educate you exactly what is happening and why your baby might be displaying signs of:
- Discomfort or difficulty with changing clothes
- Discomfort lying on changing table
- Difficulty latching and feeding
- Plagiocephaly (Flat head syndrome)
- Colic
- Difficulty with tummy time
- Dislike of car seats
- Avoidance behaviours eg. persistent asymmetrical postures – always having head rotated or tilted
- Dislike being held on one side versus the other eg. when feeding
The care that we provide newborns and young babies is specifically modified to be gentle for each child’s age, size and development. Paediatric chiropractic adjustments on babies and kids look very different to the chiropractic care we provide to adults, no “popping” or “cracking”. Our team will always take the time to explain exactly what they are going to do before they do it to ensure you are comfortable.

What to expect?

Initial Consult
- Right away you’ll notice a big difference from other practitioners, our team will dive deep into your or your child’s case history unlike any other professional out there, really listening and taking the time to find the root causes of your/ your child’s health challenges.
- Many clients report that they feel excited and confident about care, because it’s the first time they’ve actually felt heard and found answers as to why they or their child is struggling in the first place.

Insight Scans, Functional Brain Testing & Neuro-Structural Testing
- During your first visit we deep dive into the function of the central nervous system, using state-of-the-art technology called INSiGHT Scans. They consist of three (3) individual scans that will find, measure, and quantify how much stress and tension may be stuck in the autonomic nervous system.
- Our team will also perform Functional Brain Testing to get a better insight into how the brain and central nervous system are regulating important functions such as movement, balance, coordination & posture.
- In order to gain a deeper understanding of your challenges, our chiropractic team may refer you for some spinal x-rays when clinically necessary.

Care Plan
- We understand there is no one size fits all approach to health. Every child & every adult is unique. After the Initial Consult, our team takes time to review your/ your child’s individual case history, INSiGHT Scans & functional brain testing (& x-rays if necessary). This allows us to recommend a fully personalised and customised care plan (frequency and duration of adjustments) for you and your family.

Report of Findings
- This is our favorite visit! This is when we get to tell you exactly what’s going on and give you a clear action plan to get your/your child’s health back on track! At this visit we will go over the INSIGHT scans, functional brain testing & any other testing from the Initial Consult. This is the visit where we get to answer every single one of your questions and concerns!

Chiropractic Adjustments
- Let the healing begin! Chiropractic adjustments are safe, gentle and work to relieve the tension and stress from the nervous system! We know that some people will be a little nervous for their first chiropractic adjustment, but for most people they are immediately put at ease by how gentle neurologically- focused family chiropractic care is.
